Aerobic Gymnastics

 

Initially introduced to the World Games programme in 1997 in Lahti (FIN), Aerobic Gymnastics will see two new disciplines on display in Cali: Aerobic Step and Aerobic Dance. These will complement the traditional disciplines of Individual Men, Individual Women, Mixed Pairs, Trios and Groups. Apart from the Individual categories with nine and eight entries for men and women respectively, all disciplines feature six units with a total quota of 144 Aerobic gymnasts, the largest number for Gymnastics in Cali.

 

The World Games qualification for Aerobic Gymnastics took place at the 2012 World Championships in Sofia (BUL), and finals in Cali will include the top four units in each category with a maximum of one per federation and discipline.
